Cloudflare's QUIC and HTTP/3

Any takers? what’s your experience with it?

I’d rather die running Apache 1.3.x than give these fuckers any further control.

I am so far up CloudFlare’s ass I installed an Android emulator on my Windows PC just to use CloudFlare WARP VPN!

Looking good so far - early days though

What’s so good about CF VPN to get it working on your PC.

Expecting a comparison thread coming from you soon :stuck_out_tongue:
Let me know if/when you do it

EDIT:
Thanks for already having done some testing. It doesnt seem anything big until now

When I look at this benchmark, it looks the same compared to http2.
Even if cloudflare supports that new stuff, your are likely running a older webserver that does not support it.

So I do not see any benefit there.

Litespeed has grown quite popular in the shared hosting space and they seem to be working into implementing it ASAP:

Our goal is to be the first to offer a production-ready HTTP/3 server implementation.
HTTP/3 is Coming - LiteSpeed Technologies

Browsers aren’t not completely ready for it either. So give it some time and we’ll see it growing more popular. But once again we still haven’t seen any speed/resource related benefits.

It was sarcasm sir

Think I need to get my sarcasm detector re-calibrated then.

Bullshit. I know you’re running some BlueStacks setup on your Virmach KVM with your PHP click selektor.

why would I do that when you can install php selektor on the Ubuntu subsystem in Windows 10?

from my thread

note not the best site to test though as cloudflare-quic.com has 8KB page and 1 request so benefits of HTTP/2 and HTTP/3 aren’t really utilised.

I guess we’ll wait.
Nginx mentions implementing it in the version 17 cycle, but I dont see anything mentioning it in the changelogs

It’s coming / still in development in Nginx mainline 1.17 branch. Centmin Mod Nginx uses Nginx 1.17 so looking forward to HTTP/3 QUIC support eventually.

Because you still want to run android clickbots
