Could buy that Crucial MX500 2TB for €144,31 at MediaMarkt right now.
I’m seriously thinking about it, but rumours saying that those MX500 are
getting pretty hot during usage!? Any experience?

TBH If you push any good consumer SSD it will get hot. I don’t think you should worry about that. MX500’s are quite good drives. An hour or two per week of running hotter than usual shouldn’t affect the performance or endurance.

Why? I’d choose NVMe over SATA.
Another alternative could be Samsung 970 EVO 1TB for €102,06.

Edit: Bought a 2TB MX500. At least Cyberpunkt won’t fit on my other SSDs.
