SpaceX Starlink Satellite Internet $99/mo

Some details have surfaced regarding SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service as it starts public beta:

Priced at $99/mo with an initial equipment fee of $500, this seems reasonable for internet to non-connected areas (at least compared to existing satellite internet services).

Data speeds are decent as well:

Expect to see data speeds vary from 50Mb/s to 150Mb/s and latency from 20ms to 40ms over the next several months as we enhance the Starlink system. There will also be brief periods of no connectivity at all

The public beta test will indicate how often the last sentence of the quote above occurs. Looks promising, though.

I think our corrupted gov will ban the import of Starlink equipment then.

Just smuggle it.

More, they would define owning a equipment as a serious crime just like own a shortwave radio.

isnt it expensive?
