VirMach VPS for Transfer

I have a VirMach server from their Black Friday 2018 sales that I no longer require. I’ve been using it for monitoring (Prometheus + Grafana) and a Jenkins build server, and it’s worked well for that purpose. They can provide Windows Server for free too.

CPU: 4 vCores @ 3 GHz (Xeon E5-2690 v2)
RAM: 8 GB
Disk: 60 GB SSD
Network: 3000 GB per month at 10 Gb/s
Location: Buffalo, NY
Renewal Date: November 26, 2020

Price: $39.69 per year
Geekbench: https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/15456488

I’m asking for $21 (which nearly covers the remaining time on the VPS… you’ll get a few weeks for free) plus $3 for the transfer fee.

VirMach transfer requirements:

RECEIVER REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must have valid billing information on file and pass fraud checks.
  2. Must have valid payment method on file, or a minimum of $5 credits on VirMach account.
  3. Must create a ticket confirming receiving the transfer.

Let me know if you’re interested!

Do you know if they allow nested virt?

Unfortunately they don’t seem to. LXC works fine on KVM though - I’m running several LXC containers on mine.

I’ll take this if it’s still available

Still available! I’ll PM you.

I’ve been looking for something like this. If @Wolveix changes his mind, I’ll take it

Seems I am late.

You’re not the only one to find out…

Once the transfer is complete, I’ll have a lower spec VirMach VPS for transfer :stuck_out_tongue:

KVM $11.57/yr (24/11/2020)
1.25GB RAM
10GB SSD
750 GB BW

I’ll take it.

If VirMach refuse to transfer it to him for some reason, I’ll let you know :stuck_out_tongue: I’m still waiting to hear back from them.

I didn’t get the GIF

@Wolveix? What happened with the transfer?

Still waiting on VirMach to sort it out :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s from a TV show called “Storage Wars” where they bid on abandoned storage lockers. Sometimes there’s just junk inside, while other times they find very valuable things

Waiting on VirMach. They may have higher priority things at the moment.

How about a version where there are no lockers, but abandoned harddrives full of files ?

That’s called eBay :stuck_out_tongue:

Still waiting on @VirMach to process the transfer. Damn.

They recently got rid of all of their outsourced support as they believed it was causing more issues and headaches than any actual help. They don’t have plans to replace the outsourced support and are “seeing how it goes” last I heard

I’m sure they’ll eventually get around to it, but it’s probably low on their priority list especially if they’re still doing OVZ -> KVM conversions (which it sounds like they are).
