Hello All,
I have a 28 node microblade I would like to rent out to a single customer. We accidentally ordered this system a few years ago and the single shared IPMI interface was a deal killer for us since we wanted it for multi-tenant use. So the system has never really been used and got lost in our inventory room all this time.

28 blades for $1200/month = $42.85 per blade.

Here is the system Enclosure – MicroBlade® | Supermicro

Current specs are:

  • Intel Xeon E3-1231 v3
  • 8GB RAM
  • 1TB Sata
  • 10TB on 1 Gbps port per blade

Each blade can be upgraded to up to 32GB RAM and 2 x 3.5" drives.

Damn that’s a steal. Wish I had a use case that fit.

If you want to upgrade the RAM from 8GB to 32GB it will add $7.15 per blade. If you want to swap out the 1TB Sata with something else just let me know what and I can price that out for you.

What would be an offer for selling it? (not renting it)
